Calendula cream

This calendula cream features a blend of apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, and aloe vera oil, infused with the soothing properties of calendula. Perfect for calming and hydrating irritated skin

Ingredients
Makes 100g - use our Batch Size Calculator and the percentages provided here to easily adjust the volume of your batch.

Phase A
71% | 71g water
4% | 4g glycerin

Phase B
4% | 4g cetearyl alcohol
4% | 4g Emulsifier O
2% | 2g apricot kernel oil
2% | 2g avocado oil
8% | 8g aloe vera oil

Phase C
4% | 4g calendula infused oil
1% | 1g Geogard 221

Method
  • Heat Phase A to 65°C.
  • Heat Phase B separately to 65°C.
  • Pour Phase B into Phase A and blend until thick and creamy.
  • Allow to cool to below 40°C then add Phase C, stirring to combine.
  • Allow to cool to below 25°C. Check/adjust the final pH to 5 - 5.5 (Check out our blog on pH adjusting HERE)
  • Cover and leave overnight, the mixture will reach its full thickness and be ready to package the following day.
  • Give product a final stir, pour into pot/s and you're done!
