Equipment

Loaf mould
Wave blade
Microwave safe bowls/pyrex jugs
Stirring utensils
Kitchen scales
Isopropyl alcohol - optional. Spray each layer to prevent bubbles and help layers adhere to each other.

Ingredients
Makes approximately 1kg of soap.

850g (split into 300g for green layer and 550g for the red layer) | clear melt & pour soap
150g | white melt & pour soap

20g | watermelon fragrance oil
A pinch | red mica
A pinch | green fairy mica
A pinch | sesame seeds

Step 1

Step 1.

Starting with the first layer this will be our rind (green) layer. Measure 300g of the clear melt and pour and cut into small cubes (this helps it melt quicker and more evenly).

Step 2.

Melt in the microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until melted. Once melted add the green fairy mica and stir well, ensuring there are no clumps of mica.

Step 3

Step 3.

Pour into the mould, then spritz the surface with isopropyl alcohol (this helps to minimize bubbles).

Leave to set for 10-15 minutes. (The soap layers adhere much better when the soap has just set rather than set overnight).

Step4

Step 4.

While the first layer is setting start working on the next layer, the white layer. Measure 150g of the white soap, melt using the same microwave method in 30 second intervals, and pour evenly over the green layer, spritz with isopropyl alcohol and allow to set for another 15-30 minutes.

Step 5.

Now finally, the last layer. Melt the 550g measure of clear soap. Once melted add red mica and fragrance oil, stir until evenly dispersed. Once colour is even stir in sesame seeds and pour into mould.

Step 6.

Let the soap rest overnight, gently remove from the mould and slice with the wave blade into bars.

Enjoy :)
