Solid perfume
For a solid perfume you are essentially making a balm base first and then adding your perfume blend to it.
You can use any oil and type of beeswax however we recommend a neutral carrier oil so that your perfume blend isn't having to compete with an already fragrant carrier oil. Good choices include:
fractionated coconut oil,
camellia,
jojoba,
almond,
apricot kernel oil.
We have included two balm options, one with beeswax and one vegan option made with deodorised cocoa butter. It is important to use deodorised cocoa butter as the natural version smells strongly of chocolate which will affect the final perfume, unless you want to make a chocolate perfume of course!
