Magnesium oil spray

We have been seeing how trending magnesium oil spray is, & we have an easy-to-follow recipe so simple that anyone can make it at home. Magnesium oil spray is said to offer numerous benefits for external use, including enhanced muscle relaxation & improved sleep quality. Topical application allows for direct absorption through the skin, leading to faster relief from sore muscles & joint pain. Additionally, it can help alleviate symptoms of magnesium deficiency, such as headaches & fatigue, & promote overall skin health by reducing inflammation & dryness.

Ingredients

Makes 100g - use our Batch Size Calculator and the percentages provided here to easily adjust the volume of your batch.

50% | 50g distilled water
50% | 50g magnesium chloride

Optional: A few drops of essential oil (e.g. lavender) for additional soothing/sleep aid effects*

*If adding essential oil you will need to shake before use.

Method
  • Weigh water & magnesium chloride in a glass jug.
  • Allow the magnesium chloride to dissolve.
  • Stir & pour into a bottle, in this recipe we used a 100ml amber bottle with a mister closure.
  • Add a few drops of essential oil if desired, (optional).
  • Attach the mister & you are all done!
To use
  • Spray onto sore muscles, bottoms of feet before bedtime or as needed for relaxation.
  • Shake well before each use.
  • Avoid spraying near eyes and broken skin.
Storage
  • Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Note
  • For children, or those with sensitive skin, start with a lower percentage of magnesium chloride (e.g., 10%) to avoid discomfort or tingling sensations. Gradually increase the percentage as tolerated. It's recommended to begin with a lower concentration, especially for younger children, & adjust based on individual sensitivity.
