Vitamin C & summer fruits cream
We've formulated this skincare blend around the potent skin-brightening capabilities of ascorbyl glucoside, a highly stable form of vitamin C. Unlike pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid), which can be unstable and prone to oxidation, ascorbyl glucoside has a longer shelf life and is less likely to degrade when exposed to air or light.
Ascorbyl glucoside inhibits melanin production, leading to a more even skin tone and reduction in the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Additionally, it promotes collagen synthesis, essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. Collagen production tends to decrease with age, contributing to the development of wrinkles and sagging skin. By boosting collagen synthesis, ascorbyl glucoside mitigates these effects.
To complement the power of ascorbyl glucoside, we've selected a blend of nourishing oils. Shea butter forms the moisturising base, while passionfruit oil enriches with vitamins A. Papaya oil contributes enzymatic exfoliants and antioxidants for smoother skin. Sea buckthorn fruit oil, rich in omega fatty acids, provides regenerative power and the formula's gorgeous orange colour.
With a touch of vitamin E for antioxidant protection, this formula creates a silky texture that pampers the skin.

Method
- Measure out Phase A
- Combine Phase B to form a slurry.
- Add slowly to Phase A, stirring as you pour until a homogenous thoroughly combined. This is now Phase A/B.
- Measure out Phase C
- Heat both Phases A/B and C separately to 75°C.
- Once both are at 75°C pour Phase C into Phase A/B and whisk until combined. You can do this by hand working as fast as you can or with an immersion (stick) blender with larger batch sizes.
- The mixture will continue to thicken as it cools. You can place your beaker in an ice water bath to hasten the cooling/thickening process.
- Allow to cool to below 40°C then add Phase D, stirring to combine.
- Allow to cool to below 25°C. Check/adjust the final pH to 5 - 5.5 (Check out our blog on pH adjusting HERE)
- Cover and leave overnight, the mixture will reach its full thickness and be ready to package the following day.
- Give product a final stir, pour into pot/s and you're done!
To use
- Apply to face as part of your morning and/or nighttime routine.
