Vitamin C & melon serum

This formula brings together the best of both worlds: potent, active ingredients and naturally, sustainably sourced oils.

At the heart of this formula is Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, an advanced form of Vitamin C that not only penetrates deeper into the skin than traditional vitamin C but is also easy to work with (thanks to its oil solubility) and also remains stable over time. This means you're formulating with an ingredient that helps brighten the complexion, reduce dark spots, and promote collagen production for a firmer, more radiant look.

Kalahari melon seed oil is lightweight yet deeply nourishing, this sustainably sourced oil is rich in essential fatty acids, making it ideal for creating a formula that hydrates without leaving a greasy residue. Known for its high antioxidant content, it also adds an extra layer of protection against environmental damage, keeping the skin smooth, supple, and healthy.

For those seeking a natural approach to anti-ageing, Bakuchiol is a star ingredient in this formula. It provides all the benefits of retinol—smoother skin, improved elasticity, and a reduction in fine lines—but without the irritation often associated with synthetic retinoids. This makes it a great option for sensitive skin or anyone looking for a gentler, plant-based alternative.

Substitutions
  • You could substitute another carrier oil or oils.
  • Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate can be used from 0.5% and up to 20% so you can determine how must you want to use and adjust the carrier oil percentage accordingly.
  •
  • Bakuchiol is a powerful antioxidant that supports the performance of the vitamin C, but you could leave it out if you wish.
  • You could add an essential oil, especially if you are using a higher percentage of the vitamin C, you may want to mask its slight smell. If adding essential oil do not go above 0.5% in total, but be sure to check the usage rate of the specific essential oil/s you're wanting to add as some have a lower recommendation.
