Aromatic scent: Egyptian geranium essential oil has a sweet and floral rosy odour with a hint of mint. This sweet, uplifting scent lends itself perfectly to aromatherapy, perfumes, soaps, creams and other skincare products.

Aromatherapy: Geranium essential oil is often used in aromatherapy due to its pleasant floral scent. Inhalation of the oil's aroma is believed to have mood-enhancing effects, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and potentially improving overall emotional well-being.

Air freshener: The pleasant fragrance of geranium essential oil makes it a popular choice for creating natural air fresheners. Adding a few drops of the oil to a diffuser or a spray bottle with water can help freshen the air in a room and mask unwanted odours.

Natural perfume: Due to its floral and slightly citrusy scent, geranium essential oil can be used as a natural perfume. It can be diluted and applied to pulse points or added to unscented body products to create a personalised fragrance.

Insect repellent: Some people believe that geranium essential oil can act as an insect repellent. While it may not be as potent as some other essential oils like citronella or eucalyptus, it's still used in homemade insect repellent blends to help deter mosquitoes and other insects.

Cosmetic applications: Geranium essential oil is often used in skincare and cosmetic products due to its potential astringent and balancing properties. It is sometimes added to facial cleansers, toners, and creams to help maintain healthy-looking skin.

Hair care: Some hair care products incorporate geranium essential oil for its pleasant aroma and potential benefits for the scalp. It's believed to help balance oil production, which can contribute to healthier hair and a less oily scalp.

Stress relief: The aroma of geranium essential oil is thought to have stress-reducing qualities. Its pleasant scent can promote relaxation and help create a calming environment.

DIY crafts: Geranium essential oil can be used in various DIY crafts, such as making scented candles, potpourri, and homemade soap. Its fragrance adds a natural and pleasing scent to these creations.

Aphrodisiac: In some cultures, geranium essential oil has been associated with enhancing romantic feelings and acting as an aphrodisiac. Its sweet and floral aroma may contribute to creating a sensual atmosphere.

Safety data: Very potent and not to be used on sensitive skin. Avoid use during pregnancy.
