Silica is a naturally occurring mineral found in sandstone, clay, and granite.
Silica in a microsphere (tiny ball) format appears as a very fine white powder which is soft and smooth with a silky, dry finish.
Frequently used as an ingredient in cosmetics to improve the way the product glides onto your skin, absorb oil and reduce the oily feel of products. Also because the spherical particle shape scatters light helping to create a soft focus “airbrushed” look by blurring the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Helps improve texture, oil control and wear time of make up, particularly eye shadow formulations.
Can be used in oil serums and creams to give final product a “dry touch” feel.
All our products are for external use only.
