Tiger balm - Go Native style
This tiger balm recipe combines nourishing olive oil and beeswax with powerful menthol and a blend of essential oils, including camphor, cajeput, peppermint, clove bud, and cassia. Designed to provide a warming and soothing sensation, it's perfect for easing sore muscles and tension.

Phase A
42% | 42g
olive oil
12% | 12g
beeswax
Phase B
10% | 10g
menthol crystals
Phase C
11% | 11g
camphor essential oil
7% | 7g
cajeput essential oil
6% | 6g
peppermint essential oil
6% | 6g
clove bud essential oil
6% | 6g
cassia essential oil
Method
- Gently heat the Phase A ingredients.
- Take off the heat and allow to cool to <40°C
- Add the Phase B and stir until dissolved.
- Add the Phase C and stir until combined.
- Pour into containers.
Important note: The essential oils and menthol used are volatile oils and will reach their flashpoint if heated.
At their flashpoint the oils will flash flame.
SO DON'T HEAT THEM PLEASE.
Note: Because of the high percentage of essential oils in this formula, be cautious when applying to delicate facial skin. Patch tested on less delicate skin suggested before use.
