Certified organic products have undergone inspection and certification by a recognized authority. Go Native New Zealand is certified organic by BioGro New Zealand
In New Zealand, an organic product is only truly authentic if it carries a certification logo, such as BioGro, on its packaging. Be very cautious of imitations, products claiming to be organic but lacking certification, may not be able to verify their authenticity.
Go Native NZ certified organic products will have this stated clearly in the product title. We will provide our BioGro Certification Icon with our number, on each certified organic product description page, and on the certified organic products packaging and label. This way you can be assured your product it certified to the highest New Zealand Standard
No. While pure oils contain no additives or fillers, Organic Oils are sourced from plants grown under certified organic practices, free from pesticides, chemicals, or synthetic fertilisers. Non-organic oils may not use these substances, but to fully guarantee organic farming practices, certified organic products are the best option.
We get asked this one often! We are not licensed to sell food. Food grade oils have been processed by ABP under HACCP and come with appropriate paperwork that food manufacturers generally require. We recommend that our products are used for cosmetic use only. We explain this more in this Why Are Your Products For External Use Only
In short, an essential oil is a concentrated oil extracted from a plant, containing its volatile aroma compounds. Carrier oils, on the other hand, have little to no scent and do not evaporate like essential oils. Often referred to as base or vegetable oils, carrier oils "carry" essential oils onto the skin.
We don’t use the term ‘therapeutic grade’ for our essential oils, as it is a marketing label with no official certification or governing body. While any company can use this term, it doesn’t guarantee the quality or credibility of the oil. When choosing essential oils for therapeutic use, it’s best to opt for a supplier that offers 100% pure oils and can vouch for their quality. Our oils are 100% pure, and their therapeutic properties can be effectively utilised in aromatherapy.
