Dream Cream Moisturiser
This is beautifully thick and creamy thanks to the cocoa butter. A gentle rose scent makes it dreamy to apply while hydrolyzed wheat protein help moisturise and protect skin.
Make Your Own Dream Cream Moisturiser
Ingredients
Makes 200g
Phase A
52.75% | 105.5g Rose hydrosol
4% | 8g Glycerin, certified organic
Phase B
16% | 32g Camellia oil, certified organic
13% | 26g Emulsifier NF
10% | 20g Cocoa butter, deodorised, certified organic
Phase C
2% | 4g Hydrolysed wheat protein
1% | 2g Geogard 221 (preservative)
1% | 2g Calendula extract
0.25% | 0.5g Rose fragrance oil (optional)
Method
- In separate pots heat both Phase A and Phase B to 65°C.
- When both are at 65°C pour Phase B into Phase A and blend with stick blender until thick.
- Let cool to 40°C then add Phase C and blend again.
- Allow to cool to below 25°C. Check/adjust the final pH to 5 - 5.5 (Check out our blog on pH testing and adjusting)
- Cover and leave overnight, the mixture will reach its full thickness and be ready to package the following day.
- Give product a final stir, pour into pot/s and you're done!

To use
- Apply to skin as the final part of your skincare routine (though before sunscreen for daytime use)
- Massage in and allow a minute or two to absorb
Substitutions
- Rose hydrosol can be replaced by water or another hydrosol of your choice
- Camellia oil can be replaced with another carrier oil, or multiple oils, as long as it stays at 16% of the whole formula.
- Cocoa butter can be replaced with a different butter, or carrier oil, keep in mind this can change the viscosity and feel of the final product.
- Any other essential or fragrance oil can be substituted or it can be left unfragranced.
