Magnesium Oil Spray
An easy-to-follow recipe, is so simple that anyone can make it at home. Magnesium oil spray is said to offer numerous benefits for external use, including enhanced muscle relaxation & improved sleep quality.
Make Your Own Magnesium oil spray at home
Topical application allows for direct absorption through the skin, leading to faster relief from sore muscles & joint pain. Additionally, it can help alleviate symptoms of magnesium deficiency, such as headaches & fatigue, & promote overall skin health by reducing inflammation & dryness.
Ingredients
Makes 100g
50% | 50g distilled water
50% | 50g magnesium chloride
Optional: A few drops of Essential oil (e.g. lavender essential oil for additional soothing/sleep aid effects

Method
- Weigh water & magnesium chloride in a glass jug or beaker
- Allow the magnesium chloride to fully dissolve
- Stir & pour into a bottle
- Add a few drops of essential oil if desired. If adding essential oil you will need to shake before use.
- Attach the mister & you are all done!
Spray Bottle: In this recipe we use 100ml amber bottle with a mister closure to create a refillable spray bottle for easy application.
To use
- Spray onto sore muscles, bottoms of feet before bedtime or as needed for relaxation.
- Shake well before each use.
- Avoid spraying near eyes and broken skin.
Storage
- Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Note
- For children, or those with sensitive skin, start with a lower percentage of magnesium chloride (e.g., 10%) to avoid discomfort or tingling sensations. Gradually increase the percentage as tolerated. It's recommended to begin with a lower concentration, especially for younger children, & adjust based on individual sensitivity.
