Watermelon Vitamin Water

This revitalising facial toner is specially formulated to bring out the best in your skin. It is rich in humectants to keep skin hydrated and is packed full of vitamins C, B3 and E to nourish skin and brighten skin tone. It can also be used as a micellar water to freshen skin and remove light makeup and daily dirt and grime.

This carefully crafted blend includes:

Make Your Own Skincare Watermelon Vitamin Water

Ingredients
Makes 250g 

Phase A
84.20% | 210.5g *Aloe Vera Juice
0.20% | 0.50g Sodium phytate
3.0% | 7.5g Glycerin
2.0% | 5g Ascorbyl glucoside (Vitamin C)
3.0% | 7.5g Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
3.0% | 7.5g Watermelon glycerite extract

*Aloe Vera Juice is made with distilled water and Aloe vera extract
How to make *Aloe Vera Juice - You will not need to preserve it if you're going to use it all at once.
Phase B
3% | 7.5g Polysorbate 20
0.50% | 1.25g kanuka essential oil
0.10% | 0.25g Vitamin E, certified organic
1.0% | 2.5g Geogard ECT

Method 

  1. Combine all the Phase A ingredients, stirring until well mixed.
  2. Separately combine all the Phase B ingredients, stirring until well mixed.
  3. Slowly add Phase B to Phase A, stirring until well mixed.
  4. Check and adjust pH to 5.3 - 5.8.   (Check out our blog on pH testing and adjusting)

Substitutions

  • Aloe vera juice % can be substituted in part or entirely with a Hydrosol of your choice, or simply with distilled water.
  • Kanuka essential oil can be substituted with a different Essential oil or left out completely, just make up the % with more water.

To use

  • Apply after cleansing if using as a toner.
  • Spray or pour into a reusable face pad, or directly into hands, and sweep across the face and neck.
  • Follow with your favourite serums/moisturiser.
  • If using as a micellar water it can be applied as a cleanser directly to skin to remove light make up, sunscreen and daily grime.
  • Safety: Due to the essential oil it is recommended to avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs rinse well.
