Blueberry seed oil

Blueberries contain around 50 seeds per fruit which are bursting with essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Blueberry seed oil is an excellent zero waste oil as it is cold-pressed from seeds that would otherwise go to waste in the jam and/or juice industry.
Blueberry seed oil is a rich source of antioxidants and essential fatty acids that can help soothe and nourish the skin. It can deeply moisture the skin without clogging pores or leaving greasy residue, help to improve skin elasticity and protect and repair the skin barrier which in turn can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Blueberry seed oil is suitable for all skin types but works especially well on dry or mature skin types because it contains linoleic acid (an omega 6 fatty acid), which helps to reduce dryness and flaking. It also has astringent properties that can help to tighten pores.

Blueberry seed oil can protect against sun damage, which makes it an excellent choice for protecting against sunspots or age spots when used as part of a daily sunscreen regimen (though not in place of a full spectrum sunscreen) or as part of an after-sun routine.
Blueberry seed oil is a potent skincare ingredient even when used in low percentages and is said to protect the outer layers of the skin.
