Buah merah fruit is wild-harvested from the Pandanus conoideus plant, a fruit native to Indonesia, the oil is then extracted via cold-pressing and filtered to produce this rich, textured oil know for its deep red colour.
Buah merah fruit oil is high in oleic acid which is said to be great for dry and mature skin due to its potential ability to penetrate skin, replenish and help to lock in moisture.
It has a high concentration of alpha tocopherol, a form of vitamin E.
Buah merah fruit oil also contains a healthy content of beta-carotene, which gives it its deep red hue. Beta-carotene is often referred to as provitamin A, which can reduce early signs of fine lines and wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity and hyperpigmentation. Buah merah fruit oil is believed to be beneficial for reducing dark eye circles, improving overall skin complexion and softening and nourishing dry skin.
It's used in haircare products, to help nourish and strengthen hair as well as treat hair loss and add nutrients and moisture to the scalp.
