Conditioner Pellets (BTMS 25)
Conditioner Pellets (BTMS 25) are a conditioning emulsifier used in hair conditioners, leave-in treatments, hair masks, conditioning bars and moisturisers.
BTMS 25 contains approximately 25% Behentrimonium Methosulfate, a cationic (positively charged) conditioning agent, combined with Cetearyl Alcohol, which helps provide body, thickness and a creamy texture.
Unlike most emulsifiers, BTMS 25 is positively charged, allowing it to be attracted to the negatively charged surface of hair. This helps reduce static, improve slip and detangling, and leave hair feeling softer, smoother and easier to manage.
BTMS 25 can also be used in skincare formulations, where it provides a silky, conditioned skin feel and helps create smooth, creamy emulsions.

Formulation notes
BTMS 25 is incorporated into the heated oil phase of a formulation and is commonly used in combination with other ingredients to create conditioning emulsions.
The appropriate usage rate will depend on the formulation, desired consistency and level of conditioning. We recommend carrying out small test batches to determine the most suitable concentration.
As a cationic ingredient, BTMS 25 may be incompatible with some anionic ingredients.
