Douglas fir essential oil, NZ

Description: Sustainably grown and processed in a world-class in-forest distillery in the Otago hills on the South Island of New Zealand. This means the raw materials used to create the oil are not transported far before distillation, minimising the carbon footprint.

The Douglas fir difference
With the floral and woodsy body expected of a conifer, the fresh notes of citrus set Douglas fir apart from its evergreen cousins. The pleasant, vibrant scent makes it uniquely suited for use in aromatherapy, cosmetic products and for the home.
Named after the botanist who introduced it to Europe in 1827, Douglas-fir belongs to neither the Fir or Pine families. It inhabits its own genus, Pseudosuga, meaning "False-hemlock" due to the species' similarity to other cone-bearing trees.
