Description: Manuka is one of three teatrees indigenous to Australia and New Zealand. Manuka essential oil from NZ has been confirmed as having the highest antimicrobial activity.

History: The manuka tree has long been valued for its healing properties by Maori. Infusions and poultices were made from the leaves and inner bark. The seeds and sap were chewed. The manuka tree also produces a nectar that bees turn into a rich amber honey known for its curative properties.

Common uses

Aromatherapy: Manuka oil may be used in aromatherapy to create a calming and relaxing environment. The aroma of the oil could potentially help reduce stress, anxiety, and promote a sense of well-being.

Air freshening: Manuka essential oil has a pleasant and uplifting scent. It can be added to diffusers, potpourri, or homemade room sprays to freshen the air and eliminate odours.
