Description: Salvia officinalis from the Ladiatae family is also known as 'garden', 'true' and 'Dalmatian' sage. Common sage is an evergreen perennial herb that can grow up to about 60cm high with a woody base, soft gray-green oval leaves and a mass of blue or violet flowers.

History: Sage has been used in various cultures for its spiritual and purifying properties. Burning sage leaves or using sage essential oil in rituals and ceremonies is believed to cleanse negative energies and promote positive energy flow.

Safety: Sage is a powerful oil  and should be used with care. It is an oral toxin and should not be used during pregnancy, or by persons suffering from epilepsy or high blood pressure. Very potent and not to be used on sensitive skin. Do not take internally. Do not apply undiluted essential oils, absolutes, CO2s or other concentrated essences onto the skin. Do a skin patch test before using a new essential oil.

  • 5ml and 20ml amber glass bottle, with 18 neck dripulator cap, either white or black cap.
  • 30ml, 50ml, 100ml, 250ml amber glass bottle, with 28 neck white dripulator cap (except for oils that are too thick for a dripulator, which have a black open pour cap).
  • Our bulk volumes of essential oils come in the following packaging
  • 500g and 1kg options come in an aluminium bottle.
  • 5L: PET white plastic jerrycan.
