Strawberry seed oil is actually part of the rose shrub family. The Rosaceae botanical family is one of the most prolific producers of lipid oils, including Raspberry seed oil, Rosehip oil, Peach kernel oil, Cherry kernel oil and Plum kernel oil.
Strawberry seed oil is an excellent zero waste oil as it is cold-pressed from seeds that would otherwise go to waste in the jam and/or juice industry.

Strawberry seed oil is a popular skincare ingredient known for its high concentration of essential fatty acids, including omega 3 and omega 6, which are not naturally produced by the body and must come from external sources like food and skincare products.

Additionally, strawberry seed oil is valued for its moisturising properties and potential to soothe skin. It may potentially prevent signs of premature ageing. Some consider it to have astringent properties that may help tighten pores and improve skin elasticity.

Strawberry seed oil contains ellagic acid, a powerful phytochemical that may calm the skin. Due to its content of linoleic acid and oleic acid, strawberry seed oil may help balance oily skin.
